Anyone going to be watching the fight this weekend??

Problem with boxing sometimes is that it's all hyped up for weeks, then it can be finished in a couple of rounds!

Anyone know if any of the pubs are showing it?
I think it's on Sky Box Office though so maybe not.....

I'll watch it if I can but we only have free view... Isn't it on in the early hours?

Yeah but I think sometimes some pubs stay open for boxing matches..... Or maybe I imagined that?

I'd like to watch it, but sleep seems more attractive at 3am.

I thought it was more 1am, but I think by 3am pubs will be shut and I will probably be sleeping. Highlights Sunday morning will do.

I think the weigh-in is 11-30pm on SSN, that should be interesting. But to be honest I've never heard of this Mayweather chap. Is he that good? All the really good American fighters, Hearns, Marvin Haggler Sugar Ray Leonard etc just don't seem to occurr anymore

To be honest I don't know loads about boxing. I know the names of British fighters but very little about any other boxers.

I think he is supposed to be good. I think he's the favourite?

As most people on here know, I don't really like sport. But I have a husband who likes boxing, so I have picked up that Mayweather has been a world champion six times over at five different weights. Sky Sports had a little documentary about Hatton's preparation on the other evening and it showed a few minutes of Mayweather - hmmmmmm, can't say he came across as a nice guy, though that may be the way the (British) film was edited. It's going to be a tough fight, but I hope Hatton wins.......... which is rich coming from a person who doesn't like boxing!

From what I can gather Mayweather is very unpopular amongst the Americans, many want the Brit to win. I'm told Mayweather is a "boxer" whereas Hatton is a " fighter". I think that means Mayweather liks to keep opponents at a distance and pick them off.
