I did a bit of scratching around myself having mentioned battery hens.. I hope no-one buys eggs from these creatures. Apparently the cages are due to be outlawed by the EU ( something good finally comes out of there) and they are currently allowed 550 square centimetres of space

Thats the minimum requirements I believe.
I did alot of research recently and that was one thing I discovered. It's doesn't make them free range just adheres to the current rules.
I also heard similar noel regarding battery hens.
I tried keeping battery hens. They just kept laying eggs. Don't know what I was doing wrong but was hopping for some AAs or a few D cells for my Maglight.
