It's not got a Greek restaurant Martin, or Japanese, French, no Schnitzels . I think the nearest Greek restaurant is at Lytham and costs an arm and a leg unlike the real thing

There's no Mexican or Thai, either. Both types are everywhere here. Anacortes is a town of about 15,000 and there are two Thai restaurants and three Mexican ones. We do have Greek, French, Italian and all the "burgeries".

Oooh, let's be PC [Wink]
You mean Inuit or Native American, Noel! [Wink][}Smile][:p][:o)]
And what is it those Southerners eat? Ah yes! Are there any jellied eel shops in Leyland? [:o)]

(Actually, anyone know what the North American nations think of being called Native Americans? It strikes me it lumps them all together when I got the impression each "tribe", for want of a better word - Navajo, Sioux, Apache etc. - regarded themselves as separate nations. Or is it regarded much as the English, Welsh and Scots regard being called British?)

Hiya, Kevin, and welcome to the forum![Big Grin]
I realise why Native Americans are so called, I just wondered what they
thought of being called Native American..... whether they preferred to be called by their nation - Sioux, Apache etc.

Couldn't agree more David. I don't think they would like being lumped together, especially as they once used to hack each other to bits in tribal wars.
