Hi Frank,

Yep you're right .... step houses are odd numbers and the side with the old school (not the Infants) in the middle and the little cafe at the top are even numbers.
'Holmes for Foam' used the old school or an old warehouse on that side too.

Didn't the sidewalk past Lord's narrow to about 18 inches or am I confusing it with somwhere else near the Cross?

Karen, The `18"` pavement is next to the pub on the left-hand side. When it was being refurbished the bottom of the painters ladder stuck out about 2 feet into the road. He should have been paid danger rate!

I went on a trip to Scotland but it must have been a different year. I also have a picture of our class in 1953 taken in celebration of the Queens Coronation. I still have the blue tumbler they gave us. I would love to share the pictures I have if I could mail them to someone. I am not good at putting them on the computer.

I can't remember where I found the photo or where I put it on line for the forum to get to it. I think it was in our Photobucket site.

I'll go look for it and, if I find it, I'll re-post.
