I went on the game last night and I have to say it was dire, why do I do it, is it perchance I may see some exciting football or is it the girls in their short cropped skirts and brief white blouses http://www.pnelillies.com
The football of course!! Sheff U won their first game at Deepdale for 49 years, scoring after 6 minutes then conceding a penalty and having a player sent off somewhat unjustly I thought, but PNE managed to miss the penalty and didn't have another shot on goal all night thanks to the packed Sheffield defence and North Ends poor tactics.
At the end their was mass baracking of the manager, Brown Out rang all the way around the ground. I think Craig Brown is living on borrowed time as regards keeping his job.

Oh I hadn't noticed Martin.[Wink]
I hope the girls are still going to be there in the middle of winter, I somehow doubt it unless they're getting well paid.

Now then, what's going on at Deepdale? Who should PNE hire as their next manager?

The game was the first under the acting manager Billy Davies. It was pleasing to see Craig Brown's defensive 5-3-2 formation kicked into touch and a lively 4-4-2 played instead. The players were warmly clapped of the pitch at the end, as has been usual this season, but the acting manager when it was his turn to go down the tunnel got applauded loudly, strange after the "Brown out" shouts we had experienced recently. Craig Brown is a wonderfully warm hearted gentleman and it's a shame to see him lose his job, but I am convinced, along with many of my friends that we would have got relegated this season if he had stayed in charge.
It has been DIRE watching the team.
