Hello from Bel at Shenna Swan MA Textiles
Hello everybody Smile

I just wanted to let everyone know about the individual artists and crafts-people who are based at the centre of Worden Park in Leyland.

I work with my mum, Shenna, at Studio 2 where we host a variety of textile craft workshops and courses. We also have lots of unique, handmade gifts and accessories for you to peruse!

Also on the park there are artists, people who make wooden furniture, crafts-people who create bespoke wood homewares, photographers and the lovely people at the Walled Garden.

To see more of Shenna's work, check out her facebook page

It sounds really nice, Bel - pity we're 4500 miles away!

That's a shame Frank. If you ever have a holiday here you'll have to pop by Smile

Welcome to the forum also from Crete , where I still continue my art, painting, woodwork, sculpting and gardening in my retirement, I wonder how I found time to work for 51 years?

RE: Hello from Bel at Shenna Swan MA Textiles
Me too, Dave. I took early retirement from Boeing just before I turned 58 because I got fed up of frequent travel to the Middle East. In my final year, I was overseas for 29 weeks and none of the trips were more than 10 days. I had over 600,000 frequent flier miles when I retired, but they were on maybe 30 different airlines.

The only one we cashed in was on SAS and we went business class to Copenhagen and on to Manchester in February. We had 36 hours in Copenhagen on the way back, and I can't remember ever being so cold.
