Ditto Noel, Chat rooms require more than one participant at a time - as I hate talking to myself, I`ve clockewd off!!!

You can arrange a chat whenever you want now as I have put the link on the forum menu. Use this topic to suggest a day and time.

I can`t suggest a set time, but I`ll take my chances of meeting someone by dropping in on a regular basis.
One thing people, don`t give up if nobody is in. Try again later. It WILL work, but these things take time to get rolling.

Hi Shuffy,

I saw your post about your typing speed, chat rooms do sort out those who can and can't use the keyboard efficiently.

I know I have a vested interest in this product, but if you do want to improve your typing speed for chat room and general computer use, then take a look at http://www.typingtutor.co.uk

This software teaches the Churchill dogs to type, well at least it teaches whoever really answers their phones because when they installed it in their call centres they told me that it was really people and not those dogs from tv, don't tell everybody though.

How about agreeing to use the same USER name on the chat that you use on here ??
I just went on the chat and registered as David but was rejected because it had already been used !!

Perhaps someone was in the chat room as David, or you didn't log out of the chat properly. If you X out of the chat window, the server thinks that you are still in the room and this means that you can't use that name again until your name drops out. That could take a while though.

Rule 1.c - If you wish to exit the chat, please use the logoff option.

It said there was no one in the chat room, so I logged in as David. It said David was already being used. I logged in as DavidUSA, it accepted that ;-)) I don't really care about the name. I'll just stay as DavidUSA. It just seamt (is there such a word), seemed (is there such a word), natural to me to use the same user name as you do on the threads. Still no one home at 8:00pm GMT !!!
