Two interesting non-fiction books I'v just finishe
I took a break from my Kindle's pile of detective and police-based stories and read a couple of interesting non-fiction titles over the last couple of weeks. They're part of the package my son-in-law dowloaded from who-knows-where. Both are quite long and take a bit of wading through in some parts.

The first one is titled "Obama's Wars", written by Bob Woodward. He was one of the reporters who broke the Watergate scandal that ended Nixon's presidency. It primarily covres the Afghanistan conflict and doesn't paint the US military system in a very flattering light. I'm amazed how many senior officers are such dunderheads.

The second one, I'm still working on. It's called "God is not great" by Christopher Hitchens. He's a rabid atheist and rips every organised religion in the world to tatters. It's a very long book, but if you're not particularly religious and want to get a better idea why, it's a good source of information.
