Erdoghan certainly isn't a useful guy to know. Light blue touch paper and stand clear. Don't disagree with him though or you may be arrested for treason.

RE: where is everyone
Had my time in Istanbul -wonderful place. No trouble whilst I was there, back in Perth now, just done a 4500 km run to deliver training, start again on Monday for a 6500 km run over 2 weeks in the outback - wonderful. Its the end of wildflower season - beautiful, not what you see on the UK TV about the Aussie landscape.

RE: where is everyone
Just arrived back last night from 2 weeks in the Antalia region of Turkey. A lot more security in place at all the hotels and extra security in the airport for british travelers, ie all mobile devises carried onboard the aircraft had to be fired up for inspection and no Galaxey 7 phones to be used onboard.
But a good time was had by all and the sun shone all the time around 25c to 28c, the natives are all very
frendly and the shops will take payment in any currency.

Is that Side area Frank? We're looking at a small hotel just outside of Side for next year. I'd prefer Europe to be honest but with the run on the pound recently it's going to be too expensive.

RE: where is everyone
Noel if you look at a map of the coast Antalya is in a bay with Side about 1 hour and 1/2 drive to the right hand side. I stayed at Kemer about 1 hour to the left hand side. Antalya is the city with the airport and is a large sprawling place, with a quaint small harbour and old town. Most hotels in the area are large and modern, ok for lying around in the sun but you are a long way from sites of intrest.
