Interesting reading that Peter, I was probably on that train heading to Wembley, it always struck me as being a bit too hard work for my liking. My son used to travel up north to collect the correct grade of coal they use on the local steam journeys, anthracite I think?
There's still no signs of anything being done to the site apart from a few years ago Campbells fenced the area off and stored caravans on it, that is until a few disappeared during one night apparently through a gap on the field side.
